3 words that sum up your student years?

Innovation, Strategy, Coordination

How did you get started?

I started my (young) career in total immersion with the Brittany surfing league, as a cameraman. It was there that my interest in technology was really awakened: constantly seeking to improve the quality and efficiency of my shots, I plunged into the world of IT. This transition opened my eyes to the potential of digital, and encouraged me to explore further. That's how I decided to pursue a master's degree in digital marketing. This training offered me the ideal opportunity to combine my initial passion for visual creativity with a digital and strategic approach.

Then I launched my own business, Seconde Glisse, with Hugo Sinel.

What is Seconde Glisse?

Seconde Glisse is the "Vinted" of water sports. It's a second-hand marketplace dedicated to the sale and purchase of water sports equipment. The platform enables users to buy and sell their equipment via a mobile application, free of charge. Designed for all water sports enthusiasts, our app features filters to help you find the right equipment for you. What's more, we've established partnerships with the Handisurf and Surf Santé associations, donating a portion of our profits to support the integration of disabled people into the board sports world.

Going into business for yourself: a long decision or a no-brainer?

Launching my own business was not an easy decision. It's a path fraught with uncertainties and challenges. However, once I took the plunge, took the risk and put my first foot down in this entrepreneurial world, I felt no regrets. I never looked back, convinced that this was the path that really suited me.

Setting up a business: an obstacle course or just a formality?

To that question, I'd say it's a mixture of both. Of course, there are administrative formalities to comply with, but it's often the unexpected that makes the entrepreneurial adventure as complex as it is exciting. In our case, we encountered more challenges than we had anticipated. For example, we narrowly missed out on certain grants that could have benefited us. In addition, we fell behind on essential developments, which added extra pressure to our project. However, every obstacle encountered is also an opportunity to learn and adapt, reinforcing the resilience and determination of the entrepreneur.

What challenges have you had to overcome?

Among the challenges I've had to face, two in particular stand out. The first was to obtain the support of the Brittany region. This involved convincing regional decision-makers of the relevance and viability of our project, which was no mean feat. The second and equally important challenge was the design and construction of our application. We wanted it to be intuitive, efficient and attractive to our users. After many months of hard work, testing and fine-tuning, I'm proud to say that we've succeeded in building an outstanding application that meets the needs of our community.

What inspires you at the moment?

Constant technological innovation, opening up new possibilities every day.

The essential app for your daily life?

Météo France

Which book made the biggest impression on you?

"Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life" by William Finnegan

What gets you up in the morning?

What gets me up in the morning is the excitement and anticipation of the next challenge. Every day is a new opportunity to go beyond my limits, to learn and progress.

What advice would you have liked to have received at the end of your studies?

The advice I would have liked to have received at the end of my studies was: "Go abroad for a year". This experience would have enabled me to discover new cultures, discover myself, and acquire a different maturity and perspective. I sincerely believe that it would have been an invaluable asset to my personal and professional development.

If you'd had an Aladdin lamp during your studies, what would have been your top 3 wishes?

Acquire an accelerated learning capacity to quickly master any skill or subject.
Have the chance to meet and learn directly from the greatest thinkers and innovators of our time.
Possess an inexhaustible source of financial resources, not to enrich myself excessively, but to never feel limited in my projects and aspirations, and to help those in need.

A final word?

See you soon on Seconde Glisse?
