Adding the environmental dimension to the social dimension embodied by Humacité© to meet today's climate challenges: the successful challenge of creating Climacité©.

Climacité© is designed to help students become responsible managers, by giving them hands-on experience of the challenges of protecting the environment and adapting to climate change. Like Humacité©, a humanitarian, social and civic mission, Excelia has launched this compulsory experiential educational program that explores another field of sustainable development. It was inaugurated in December 2020 as part of the Bachelor Business program and is being rolled out across all Excelia programs this year.

KEY FIGURES

2020 : Year of creation

1,048 assignments completed

835 partner organizations (companies, associations, local authorities)

89% in France

1107 individual projects carried out by work-study students

Climacité© is an experiential training program. It puts students in action situations to complement their academic achievements in the field of CSR/DD. Quite distinct from an internship, the Climacité© mission is a personal development experience. Its teaching methods aim to equip students with a number of cross-disciplinary skills:

  • a responsible approach to integrating respect for values into action,
  • investment and teamwork to develop the ability to contribute to a project,
  • the ability to create sustainable solutions: acquire a systemic and forward-looking vision, and strengthen your ability to tackle the changes needed for tomorrow's world,
  • the ability to step back and take a collective approach to understanding the global challenges of sustainable development.

A concrete impact on achieving the SDGs

Today, in line with Groupe Excelia's 2025 strategic plan, the Climacité© mission reinforces the school's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the missions carried out :

If you have an assignment to share, contact us!

In 2023-2024, our students will again be involved for periods of around 8 weeks in France or abroad. From December 2023 onwards, some students will be involved in climacité©, then the assignments will take place either in January-February, or from April onwards, depending on the program. You can call on the students by sending us your mission offers to climacité@excelia-group.com. More than 800 students from all our programs and campuses will be taking part this year!

TESTIMONIALS

We welcomed 4 Excelia trainees who completed their Climacité© internship at our Cyclad facility:

3 trainees were assigned to the waste collection service to take part in a study on re-use in partnership with the Ecomobilier eco-organization.

1 intern joined Atelier CyclaB (our innovation center) to take part in a study of reuse players in the Saintes CDA.

It's the first time we've taken on students, and given our activities, the Climacité© course is well suited to them.

The Climacité© mission is one of Excelia's specific missions. It's a mission designed to get students involved in environmental issues. Students are sent to associations or companies so that they can take part in actions to help combat climate change.

I was lucky enough to do my Climacité© mission at La Matière, near La Rochelle. It's a recycling center that recovers materials to promote re-use. They take these materials, transform them and turn them into new objects.
